Notice of China National Day Holidays
Dear Colleagues:
We are writing to inform you that due to China National Day Holidays (October 1-October 7, 2014), the State Intellectual Property Office and the State Administration for Industry and Commerce Trademark Office of P.R. China will be closed during the said periods. All deadlines falling during this period will be automatically extended to October 8, 2014 (Wed.), the first working days following the extended holidays. Furthermore, Sept. 28 (Sun.) and October 11 (Sat.) will be the working days in China, in observation of the long holidays. The trademark-related deadlines falling on Sept. 28 (Sun.) and Oct. 11 (Sat.) CANNOT be extended, though the patent-related deadlines can.
Therefore, we would appreciate if all urgent China cases and instructions are received no later than September 24, 2014 given that Chinese translations are required in obtaining effective filing dates.
Hopefully, this schedule will not cause you any inconvenience. Thank you for the cooperation.
