Notice of China Labor days

Dear Colleagues:

We are writing to inform you that due to China Labor days (May 1 - May 4, 2019), the China National Intellectual Property Administration, PRC (CNIPA) will be closed during the said period. All deadlines falling during this period will be automatically extended to May 5, 2019 (Sun.), the first working day following the extended holidays. Furthermore, April 28 (Sun.) & May 5 (Sun.) will be working days in China to accommodate the long holidays. The trademark-related deadlines falling on April 28 (Sun.) & May 5 (Sun.) CANNOT be extended, though the patent-related deadlines can.

Therefore, we would appreciate if all urgent China cases and instructions are received no later than April 24 , 2019 given that Chinese translations are required in obtaining effective filing dates.

Hopefully, this schedule will not cause you any inconvenience. Thank you for the cooperation.
